Orientation and navigation in stores

Navigácia v predajniach je dôležitá, hlavne z toho dôvodu, že sa produkty v rámci stratégie zvýšenia predaja neustále premiestňujú.

Marking in the self-service store is a must. Navigation in our stores is very often bland and overlooked. In many cases, an inappropriate combination of colors, materials, or backlighting is used. Customers are busy and prefer quick purchases, so they often find their way through navigation. As an example of appropriate signage, we can cite the CBA store, which we marked with navigation boards and signs. The navigation was characterized by very precise labeling of all sections of the store.

We can also observe differences in the labeling of establishments when comparing the Slovak and foreign markets. We still find shortcomings in our market, but some food concepts are already starting to follow the very thorough style of our foreign neighbors. A clear way of marking can be found, for example, in Austria, where they care about the systematic marking of the store and the division of individual sections so that they follow each other.

However, obstacles in the implementation of markings can still be observed. The main obstacles are mainly: the uniformity of signage within individual establishments and the lack of funds for comprehensive rebranding of stores. Correct signage is an opportunity for the business to acquire a new customer. Correct marking should be unambiguous, original, simple and understandable. At the same time, it is essential that it is linked to the sales product.

Emotions and experiences are the driving force in starting the buying process. People seek experiences not only for the sake of satisfying their needs, but for their own sake. Only after this phase does reason come into play, which evaluates the properties of the product. Marketers should be aware of their dependence on the customer. The recipe for this is simple: constantly ask for their opinion, sell good products, create interesting marketing strategies that will treat people fairly, will not bother them, but will, on the contrary, help them make a purchase.
